No IF latch when input 1G signal into HP 5350B

Dear All

I need ?some help about HP 5350B . NO IF LATCH led and NOT PHASE LATCHED led are all on when 1Ghz signal input to INPUT 1 connector . ?And It can be measured well when 500Mhz signal input to INPUT 2 connector . So i want to know if the GaAs Sampler has damaged and how to check .?

Hi Samba,

Do you have the service manual?
Have you read the trouble shooting section?
Please be careful around the sampler, as it is a sensitive device.
I would follow the trouble shooting, and first check the DC voltages for voltage within the required range, and also check for ripple.

Next would be to check the LO signal. Notice this is around 14dBm, so use attenuators.
What test equipment do you have? (spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope with 500MHz band with, frequency counter, power meter and so on.)

Thanks for your help !
I am reading service manual now . And one 26.5Ghz spectrum analyzer and one 500Mhz oscillascope are on my hand .?
So i think i will check the power ,signal ?according to the manual step by step .

A12 maybe have damaged according to my test ?.?
Tonight below test items have been finished:

1. The voltage on A1 test connector can meet manual value .?
2. The value of powers ?input to A12 are all correct .?
3. Some Diagnostics have been implemented . But no failure .

There are only 2 test have ?not been finished , LO and IF signals test , because my SMB to SMA connector not on hand .But i think the result will be bad .

And i start to look for the sampler , so does anyone have the information about HP5350B A12 module for sale ??
