HP 8594E option question

On the back I have a sticker that says,¡±OPT R53¡± any idea what that means?
Options I see under List of Options on the 8594E?
004
010
041
101
130
?
Thanks, Andrew

I have an E4407B that has a similar OPT listed (do not recall but H04 or something).
Turned out that was a military option. (Navy in my case) Should have known - mine was covered with sand - inside and out!
No idea about yours. Probably a "fixed set" of standard options.

Andrew, while I cannot answer the question directly, HP would often describe the options by combining options together into one option no., ie, 003 and 050 = 053, however in this case I think it maybe a personality. ?There is somewhere in the menu structure a listing of the options installed in the unit. ?A single purchaser may have requested an option package designated as R53 (ie. radio testing personality). Are there any tags identifying the previous owner? The 8590 series was the first series of HP SA¡¯s that were easily customized by software/hardware options to get the best possible fit for your testing needs.

On page 394-6, table 10-1 lists quite of few of the options. This is also the 8590 series Service Manual, schematics included.

According the user's manual (08590-90301) :
?

This is an amplitude?calibration that improves specifications to +/-0.6 dB at 20-30 ¡ãC for CDMA frequency bands 824?to 849 MHz and 869 to 894 MHz. In addition, it improves specifications to +/- 0.9 dB at 20-30 ¡ãC in the frequency bands 1850 to 1910 MHz and 1930 to 1990 MHz.

Option 053 is also available as a service center only retrofit kit (Option R53) after the purchase?of your spectrum analyzer.
