85662A CRT

I recently picked up a display unit to match the 8566B I purchased a month or so ago, supposedly working fine, but I discovered the CRT was extremely dim, among some other issue with a sweep but no signal (flat line at the bottom of the grid).? My attempts at rejuving the CRT to give me some use until having to replace it with either a CRT or a NewScope kit succeeded in brightening it up a little, so I figured I'd do it again, with a bit longer application of the little red button on my B&K 465... and promptly blew out the CRT.? No great loss, as it was basically toast to begin with.?
I really like the idea of keeping this a CRT, at least until I get the 85662A working properly, at which time I might eventually splurge on a NewScope 8.? In the meantime, does anyone happen to have a decent CRT for sale for this 85662A?? This is the first generation display with the original style CRT - not the later one.
I sure do miss Hawkeye picture tube remanufacturing.

Good morning, Vladan,
I can't seem to discern your email.
Hit me up instead - it's my callsign at gmail.

I just sent you an email via groups.io. I am not sure if it will go to your gmail account - depends on what address you used to register here. Anyway, check your email.

Matt,
??? Where are you located? I have 4 good 85662A CRT,s that have been stored properly for the last 20+ years.? They were pulls from 85662A's that had an arc over issue in the post lead - poor insulation issue. They were factory warranty repairs. I have known good post leads with each one. If interested call me, or email me.? I am in the Chicago, IL, USA metro area.

Hi, Don,
Thanks for replying.? I've got a near perfect one coming from Vladan, but I'm glad to know there are some out there available to the group, as there were others who also had some available, in varying states of life.? If the shipper ruins this one, we'll be in touch.
Regards,
Matt
