YTO / HP 5086-7781 & Introduction rehashed (just incase)

Hello group,

I can't remember if I have introduced myself in the past or not.? If my memory serves me correctly I might have.??
Just to be safe,? I am Jon, and reside in Texas, USA.? Passion and profession is electrical engineering since I was very very young.??
I have 40 plus years of experience in the industry and to this day, love this great & challenging industry.??

Anyway,

So I have a really good instrument that has suffered an early case of YIG-Itis.? I am looking for another one as a spare or would like to know if there is anyone on this forum that can sufficiently replace the output / oscillator transistor on the YIG I have.? If not, I am contemplating the idea of entering into the wirebonding process myself.? I realize this is not a endeavor for the faint of heart, but again I do like challenges.? ?In my opinion, this is probably one of the best series of HP equipment manufactured when HP was going strong.? This machine is way to good and young in life to retire it.? :)? Please, if you have a resolve feel free to contact me via email or on here.?

Thanks so much,

Jon M.
