OT Omni Spectra Semi-Rigid Tools

Recently I obtained an Omni-Spectra Semi-Rigid Tool set for use to attach SMA connectors to .141 and other semi-rigid coax..... The set was called a T-200/400 set.

I also see on Ebay a T-450 set....

Which gives me wonder....what connectors was it for.

So, I was wondering if anyone knows what Omni-Specta tooling numbers match which connectors....

And, is there any old catalogs out there with more detail?

Just a nice curiosity from the past that I'm trying to bring into the present....

Dan,

I have a nearly complete T-200/500 that I got a couple of years ago. It's on a shelf around here somewhere. At the time I did a bunch of searching and discovered the TE-Connectivity replacement kit. I downloaded the basic instruction sheet and a bunch of files for using the kit for various Omni-Spectra SMA connectors. Let me do some archaeology and see if I can find the files. They may or may not be applicable to your kit, too.

Thanks Steve.

I also have found the Tyco instruction sheets that show the use of the tooling. They also reference the M/A-Com and Omni-Spectra part numbers for the various tools.

However, the T-250A/450A is a mystery still......

Also, they must have made kits for N and TNC, but I find no reference to them...

So, I was wondering if Omni-Spectra ever put out tool info in their literature/catalogs...

Dan

I have a 1991 OS catalog here, and there is a tooling
section.? T-250 is listed as SSMA-(OSSM), T-450A is TNC.
T-400 is for Type N.

I have never been fortunate enough to find a T-200 in good
shape in the surplus wild.

Jim,

Any mention of a T-200/500? That’s what I have here.

Thanks,

Steve

Not mentioned in this catalog, but there are content
lists for the individual parts.

Jim:

I came across a 1990 M/A-Com catalog that has quite a bit of tooling in it. I tracks what you found as well.?

I'm putting together a spread sheet of all the kits and numbers....Can send along to whoever wants....

Dan in Chandler, AZ

Thanks so much for looking around on this!

Dan,

I’d appreciate a copy. Once I’m back from a trip I’ll take what I have and bits that have been given me over the weekend and, with your permission, your information, and package it up to go on the KO4BB manual repository online.?

Sounds like something that would go well in the files section as well as on the ko4bb site.

Jim,

I, too, would be interested in a copy of your spreadsheet.

I have a T-200/500 kit and have been trying to obtain a copy of the general instructions for the kit for some time.? I believe the TYCO P/N for these instructions is 408-8677.? I tried to order a copy of this document from the company, but have had no response.? I reordered on 2/6/15, but still no response.

Nevertheless, I was able to download the instructions for specific individual connectors from their website.

The T-200/500 kit is for installation of OSM (SMA) connectors on 0.085-inch and 0.141-inch cables.
