On U1272A Aerr shows up if the meter is not in amps setting but leads are in amps connectors. The way meter figures out the lead position is based on a banana connector with a split collar. Any dirt that connects two sides of the connector even with a high resistance gives the error. It took many cleaning cycles with alcohol and distilled water until it went away. Assembly comes out on a little PCB but connector can be cleaned from outside too.? Ozan ? ? ?
Mark Creighton All Messages By This Member #150369 Hi Ozan. Thank you for that tip. Unfortunately the jack tests open. But the resistance on the jack contacts on the board reads 6.02 Mohm. So the fault is somewhere on the board. ? I have found other posts where the individual just removed the jack to clear the issue of high resistance in the jack. ? Mark
