Re: 8753D calibration
What I find odd though is why it costs more to have more data, such as
uncertainties. With the exception of perhaps a bit more ink from the
printer, I can't see how it costs any more to provide data

I have an 8562A project as well that I haven't had time for yet. Hopefully

Re: 8753D calibration
With respect to the different levels of calibration offered by Agilent it is important to note that the actual calibration procedure is the same for all them. The difference is in the 'deliverables'.

Re: Telequipment D43
Hi, here is the manual for the Telequipment D43 Oscilloscope, it sounds
like you just have the schematics. I used one years ago and now have one
myself, though I'm not sure of its condition - on the

Hi Dan,
Yes, I also found that and had ordered the parts. But I wanted to check that it would be OK after replacement, so I did that, errrrr.... temporal fix :-) (I didn't cut the transistor pins as

Re: 8753D calibration
That's the best thing IMHO.
There's a copy of one of Agilent's ISO 9001:2008 certificates at
http://www.agilent.com/quality/EMG_ISO9001.pdf
To quote the exact wording, which includes the word

Re: 8753D calibration
Hi John,
you must have missd my comment, but that was done. My friends eyesignt
is better than me, and his mechanical engineering skills are better
than me, so he fixed it for me using a needle file.

I have here my old telequipment D43 on the work bench wich I try to restore.
This is not a HP agilent device, but I've seen some posts here about the D43

Re: 8753D calibration
Thanks to all who replied. I will recommend factory calibration by Agilent. The reason the customer insists on an ISO 9000 rated calibration facility is that they are ISO 9000 rated and they think

Re: HP 8590A fails 2 Calibration Routines
I ran some tests on the Attenuator since these are highly suspect all the time because people put too much power into them. Lo and behold it looks like it is blown. I put in a -10 dbm signal and

Re: 8753D calibration
FWIW, it looks to me like a couple of strokes with a jeweler's needle file
would fix that easily. The thread is only to hold the connector mated. Not
perfect looking, but 100% functional

Re: 8753D calibration
I'm in the UK anyway. But IIRC, the test port had to be alighned to an
accuracy of 0.0001". As my friend said, at those sort of tollerances
you need to have a well maintained temperature environment.

significantly more than others. I assume (perhaps incorrectly), that
