Re: HP 53310A POST errors
开云体育Hello, mine is made in USA, serno 3121A01960 I dont think it is the main board. In my case, what really gave me food for thought was that the rabbis grip fixed the problem. Probably the NVRAM has gone to shit. I need to look at the circuit some more. Tam With best regards Tam HANNA (emailing on a BlackBerry PRIV) Enjoy electronics? Re: Make backup PCMCIA card for E8285A?
Hi Bill,
Tthe HP 892xB and E8285A series do not use PC format cards or even ATA hard disk emulation. They are "linear" cars that look like RAM or ROM. The test sets cannot write to FLASH cards, just NVRAM ones. So you need 1/ NVRAM PCMCIA card or LINEAR FLASH PCMCIA card. 2/ Card writer that supports linear mode. 3/ Software that supports linear mode. The solution used to be using ELAN adaptors (or older laptops with PCMCIA built in) and their Memory Card Explorer (MCE) software. However ELAN have gone out of business. You may be able to get hold of an old copy of MCE though. The modern systems use the cards in ATA hard disk emulation mode which won't work. Some of the LINEAR FLASH cards need 12V to program them and few laptops have this despite it being part of the specification. HTH, Robert G8RPI.? |
Make backup PCMCIA card for E8285A?
I have an original, write protected. ?
I also have the files (thanks, Amtronix!!) I can't read or format the card in a USB PCMCIA card reader under Windows 7, or on an HP200lx. Bought a 2 MB flash ROM card on eBay, but when I ask the?E8285A to format, it reports "write protected" I'd like to make a backup of the card. ?Working with cards erases the E8285A's built-in ROM copies. Any ideas! Many thanks!! Bill Hole AC8FD |

HP1345A/ 3577A missing chips
Bought a 3577A at auction: outward fault no display.? After some investigation I've discovered that the 1345A has been robbed of three (socketed) HP proprietary? chips: 2 off 1NB4-5003 analogue multipliers, 1 off 1NB4-5004 ramp generator.
Is there any chance of finding these at reasonable prices, or might it be best to start again with a NewScope display?? The -2350V EHT is present and correct. John |
Re: HP83592A 0.01 - 20 GHz RF plugin cavity oscillator unlocked
In the 8359XX plug ins, the cavity oscillator is not phase locked and there is only a plunger adjustement with a screw.

Subject: [HP-Agilent-Keysight-equipment] HP83592A 0.01 - 20 GHz RF plugin cavity oscillator unlocked To: [email protected] Date: Saturday, April 20, 2019, 10:08 PM Hello, I have an HP83592A (SN:2718A02469) where the internal LO (A11, cavity oscillator) for band 0 (0.01 to 2.4 GHz) isn't locking to the correct frequency. It is supposed to be locked to 3.800 GHz so that the YTO can be mixed down from 3.81 to 5.20 in order to get band 0 at 0.01 to 2.4 GHz.? Rather than locking to 3.800 GHz, it seems to be locking to either 3.518 or 3.830 GHz. I measure this by observing the YTO output (at the AUX port) and the actual RF signal, which is then off by either +282 MHz or -30 MHz (the YTO is within spec). I have checked voltages to the unit and they are OK at +20.0 V and -9.95 V. Output level is not checked, but since the output RF signal is fine in level, I expect the level of the oscillator to be at least reasonable.? Has anyone experience with this module or seen this before? The A11 oscillator sits in the middle of the unit so it is not easily accessed. Is there any tuning possible? The service manual does not provide any recommendations as I can see. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated! Regards, ? Staffan |

Re: HP 53310A POST errors
开云体育Hello, that is indeed so strange - in your case, the LEDs kept running. Either way, I just reassembled mine. Let us hope it was just a temporal problem. Tam P.s. May I ask which serial number your unit has? With best regards Tam HANNA (emailing on a BlackBerry PRIV) Enjoy electronics? Join 14k other followers by visiting the Crazy Electronics Lab at Am 20. 开云体育Sounds loke PSU failure.
Suggest you check all the rails first before doing anything else.

The scope had been in storage about a year. I picked it up from a friend (ext HP guy).
I took it home and pluged it in to warm up. It ran about 30 minutes then screen went black. There is one LED on front panel that lights, but Nothing happens when you press Keys or turn knobs, Cycle power and it retuns to the same state with one LED on Sent from my ASUS MeMO Pad 7 LTE |

Re: hp8753B_Phase_Lock_Lost
A number of things can go wrong.? I suggest you start by going through the troubleshooting procedures in the manual.

Re: Agilent 54845a Infiniium 1.5 GHz Scope Trigger self-test Failures
-- I am looking for an ?ADC ?plastic socket, with the Pogo pins for the Agilent / HP 54845a ?1.5 GHz scope.
I think I have located at least one problem:
?
?I have one damaged plastic ADC socket, with missing Gold coloured pogo pins (I have the 4+2 screws removed, & the 2 metal sandwich parts removed & the white ceramic part removed).?
So, I need to get the ADC Pogo pin socket ?or try to repair ?the existing socket that has missing Pogo pins & springs.
?
How does one R&R the Pogo pin socket ?
? It looks like there are some small steel guide pins holding the socket onto the ADC PCB?
?
>>>>Example showing the ADC chip removed & the plastic pogo pin socket removed from the PCB.
?How does one remove & replace the plastic socket at that level ??
?
see the photos #9 & #10 in the EEVBlog July 8, 2017:
?
?
-- Can anyone ?send me a replacement Pogo pin socket in an envelope, will pay something + postage.
?
thank you,
