Metrology Grade adapters - HP/Agilent 1250-1745 and 1250-1740 - insertion loss ?
Hi all,
I've been looking to add an HP/Agilent 1250-1745 and 1250-1740 to my kit so I can step down my power sensors to 3.5mm/SMA for various test.
What I don't see in the catalog for the adapters, and I cant find after spending a hour or so googling around, is a specification of insertion loss.
So does any know what the insertion loss is for both the 1250-1745 and 1250-1740 ?
Or, if someone has the equipment, can you measure yours and let me know ?
I don't imagine the IL for these isn't much, probably fractions of a dB, but I'd like to know what it is, especially at 10GHz.

From the s/n, built in 1987. Certainly pre 488!
Working on software to identify connected instruments. If *IDN? fails, it tries ?ID and if that fails, ID.
Might have to add special cases after that! ug.

ID (*IDN?) command is a 488.2 call and not implemented in older 488 instruments?

5350B - transmutation to a 5351B
The same sampler and microwave assembly [ both capable of 26.5GHz ] is used in the 5351B Microwave Frequency Counter as in the 5350B. Is it possible to extend a 5350B to count to 26.5GHz by , perhaps, changing the uProcessor strapping, or upgrading a ROM? Has anybody done this before? I would value your comments.........................Don.

Hoping to verify... have my 8350B hooked into my HP-IB (GPIB) and apparently there is no "ID" command.
Have tried all possibilities used over the years and no mention in the manuals.
Seems odd that HP would not include it.
Is this true?

Has anyone come across a recent source for the older HP System I equipment feet (black with release button, P/N 5060-0767)?? It appears that the market for these has more-or-less dried up.

I don¡¯t think it means much of anything as it said that when I ordered mine. Having said that, I just got on and tried to order another one and it lets me add it to my cart but when I try to check out it says they¡¯re out of stock. That does happen occasionally but I expect they¡¯ll restock soon. If this is your first time ordering from Keysight you may have to call them to place the order. I had to do that after the HP to Agilent transition and again after the Agilent to Keysight transition, even though they assured me both times we wouldn't have to do that.?
