Re: ESG3000A (E4421A) signal generator - datasheet for 1GG3 series amplifiers
I thought the video explained things very well.? From what I can see, the amplifiers provide fixed gain and adjustments are made after the amplifiers.? The video shows the "B" model, but the circuit

Yes, fourgt. One of my favorite sellers. I buy lots of stuff from them, they are
normally great. Have bought other items from them since.
But *somehow* they say they have 'lost' their entire stock of

Re: ESG3000A (E4421A) signal generator - datasheet for 1GG3 series amplifiers
Thanks Mark.
That explains the absence of data! The video link provided by Tom earlier in this thread has pointed me in the direction of likely suitable replacements, so looks like a Mouser order

Re: HP200CD oscillator
Thanks Morris. I will check all your suggestions.
I should point out I have not replaced C12 at this stage. Its hard to access but it appears to measure ok.

Re: HP200CD oscillator
R30 is in series with the negative supply to the 6CW5s so if its getting too hot there's too much current being drawn through them. Check the voltages on the grids (pin 2) and cathodes (pin 3) of the

Thanks all,
By some stroke of incredibly luck I've connected with Paul who happens to have the calibration disk to my specific serial number.
As I sift through the repair now I've noticed that when

Re: HP200CD oscillator
OK, some progress for those who may still be interested after such a long thread :)
I replaced both 6CW5 tubes and I now have some output that responds to frequency and amplitude dials, albeit a bit

Hi,
Sorry for slow reply, but I'm really busy at work.
I put some pictures in the photo album:

Re: ESG3000A (E4421A) signal generator - datasheet for 1GG3 series amplifiers
Is this one of the amps just before and after the modulator?
Also, this video is very helpful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSCGAY5z_44

Re: HP 4815A test and calibrate
The 4815A is a vector Impedance meter.
Are you thinking of making the probe, or do you have one?
I would not recommend trying to make a probe for it.

WTB: PIC17C42A-33I/L or PIC17C42A-33E/L
That's PIC17C42A 33MHz PLCC in Industrial or Extended Temperature range
Must be unused as they are OTP parts.
