Hi Dave I think there are about 10 of us that are after the key pad for the 70820 The keyboard is a different thing and we have hade grate misunderstandings in the past the keyboard for the 70000

This is correct; you don't need the module-specific keypad to do anything on any 70K series instrument. I have a bunch of 70K stuff running from one display, and I just have the blank keypad. Works

I have the same rig, more or less - it didn't have the keypad. I think you can do without it and control everything from the screen menus, while the keypad allows for shortcuts to the basic functions,
