Doh, got the 120 ohm in wrong place, should go between output and adjust pins. I was rushing to do it before work this morning. Switch is correct, it's supposed to short out regulator for 24V. This

Moving the boards doesn¡¯t budge a thing. The inside of this unit is extremely clean and I wiped the contact fingers with a light coating of DeOxit Gold so I don¡¯t think that¡¯s an issue. Peter
