Do you have anything connected to the external FM input connector? I would try terminating it and see if the counter fault still occurs. I am wondering if there is an offset in the modulation signal

Some 1.44 PC? drives can be made to work in in a 9122C, I know because I have done it.? The drives just need to be able to supply the signals expected by the 9122C. Paul.
