I think he meant pin to pin diameter across the widest point as distinct from the diameter of the individual pins (so probably about to 40mm?)

Front is 121.3 x 82.3 mm max.
The socket is 57 mm diameter, the glass neck is 50,75 mm
Length max is 28 cm, there is room upto about 32 cm including socket

The 4195A has a unique CPU board. When the battery is bad, it won't come out of reset.
Replace the battery on the CPU board and it should boot right up.

voltage at A1 is not 'about the same' on line and battery, there can be a
difference on the output voltage, 'if 1.3 volt

HP 4195A HELP only horisontal lines on CRT when switch on
I only see the "unlock" led light up for 5 seconds, then "ext ref"
turns on.
And the CRT is only filled with horisontal lines.
All 8 led's light's on both cards with CPU and EPROM's.
