Joe I am interested in the manual if it is a service manual with a schematic. You say it is the same as the 3449 (typo?) Is it the same as the 3439 except for the sampe rate? If so I am interested.

The 3478A is certainly a nice meter, but I have a hard time getting my bench lighting right so LCDs are readable without too much light falling on the scopes. Too bad it doesn't have a backlit
