Re: 8920B Receiver Synth "Out of Lock"
Well so much for that! I pulled the board and it doesn't match the CLIP. There's a single PLCC in place of the two dividers. :-( Should have known as I have 08920-61020 and the CLIP has 08920-68127.

8341B fan replacement?
Group, Sounds like the fan in my 8341B needs replacement. After some searching it appears there is a replacement listed on Mouser, that has been used, an Orion fan. Part number 670-OA172SAP112TB.

Re: Troubleshooting a 8591e with opt 130
Yves, I've been doing the measurements. 1 funny thing caught my eye, when going to 0hz span, the marker level is dependent on the span before that. Center 300MHz > span 5MHz > Span 0Hz > -5dBm marker

Re: Troubleshooting a 8591e with opt 130
Yves, Thanks, I wanted to do the measurements, took the coverplate off because I figured that was needed to reach the testpoints. While removing the coverplate I figured I might aswell have a look at

8920B Receiver Synth "Out of Lock"
Hello group. I have an 8920B here that I repaired about a year ago (power supply failure). When it powered up it passed the Self Test and looked OK so put it on the shelf. Used it the other day to

Marco, PRESET CF 300MHz SPAN 1MHz ZERO SPAN For TP1 to TP 4 For TP 5 to 10, there is the signal at 21.4MHz. I measured this signal with the oscilloscope at first, but for the last stages we can easily

Re: PCB mounting tabs for 5300/34740 series
Maybe a high durometer TPU. Like 90A, but I would try PETG first for that shape. It¡¯s probably flexible enough.

Re: PCB mounting tabs for 5300/34740 series
Ah, TPU is an excellent suggestion. I was thinking "rigid but flexible", which doesn't put me in mind of TPU, but I would definitely try that. -Dave

Re: PCB mounting tabs for 5300/34740 series
TPU may work as well. Either will need attention paid to the layer lines... Sent via mobile annoyance thingy, please pardon any typos. [email protected]> wrote:

Re: PCB mounting tabs for 5300/34740 series
Actually I believe with proper filament selection these might work when 3D printed. Try PETG; it may have sufficient flexibility. -Dave -- Dave McGuire, AK4HZ New Kensington, PA

Re: Troubleshooting a 8591e with opt 130
Yves, I had some spare time so started with some measurements myself. Checked the testpoints on top of the Log amplifier, TP1, TP3 and TP4. TP1: Log mode: -6.22V / LIN mode : 14.25V TP3: -9.315V Tp4:

HP8753E and HP8753ES display information FYI
Hello All, Just a short summary of information should anyone be interested: 1)? The HP8753E uses HP display part number 08720-60160 (meaning that the display was first used in the 8720D in my guess).

Re: Troubleshooting a 8591e with opt 130
Marco, Indeed, removing option 130 removes a variable. You will have to put jumper A14W1 back if you do this. But I don't know if it will change much, because the signals are not mixed, it is a
