Re: WOT (Waay off topic): circular saw blade not cutting anymore (gets stuck on material)
The description of the table saw, in your link, says: "...Various Material Cutting Capacity: Euquipped with ... 2.4" diamond saw blade and 2.5" alloy saw blade for PCB board..." They misspelled

Re: WOT (Waay off topic): circular saw blade not cutting anymore (gets stuck on material)
Gabor, Thanks for that recommendation. Really interesting, I'll investigate it. It seems there are some very affordable CNC machines on the usual marketplaces (what are the "2030" or "3040?" What

Re: "Maximum input 0VDC"
A lot of useful info in these replies; thanks, guys. In respect of my main SA (8566B) it's not quite as bad as I'd thought. I have some inbuilt protection from the 10dB attenuation which is set by

Re: WOT (Waay off topic): circular saw blade not cutting anymore (gets stuck on material)
Hey, if it's glass fiber reinforced plastic, or you're cutting PCBs with it, you'll need solid carbide blades in order to be able to expect a meaningful tool life. Even better, if this happens

My apologies, Peter, not "Peeter" as my hiccuping keyboard may have implied. Radu.

Re: WOT (Waay off topic): circular saw blade not cutting anymore (gets stuck on material)
Thank you Peeter, Michael, John. I'm currently leaning on thinking I had a couple degrees angle of "attack" error/tilt I didn't realize the saw squaring device creeped to have. The mirco-table saw is

Re: WOT (Waay off topic): circular saw blade not cutting anymore (gets stuck on material)
The dust is deadly. You could try using a hacksaw with water applied. The water keeps dust from happening, and lets the cuttings move out as they are made. pcb material can be scribed with a sharp

Do they have a blade for cutting ceramic tile, or a masonary blade? <vondicher@...> wrote:

Some connector material is glass fiber filled and will almost instantly dull a HSS blade.

WOT (Waay off topic): circular saw blade not cutting anymore (gets stuck on material)
Hi all, I hope you all will accept a "waaay off topic" (= WOT) post here coming out of frustration with... tools. I have this micro table saw (

Re: 8566B Calibration
AMPTD CAL is one of the trim pots on the front panel. The other is FREQ or FREQ ZERO. I cannot remember exactly. Look through the other Recall x instructions and one will be for the frequency pot.

Re: Crystal detector with 10dB attenuator in series - is it for matching purposes?
The 10dB attenuator is probably recommended as it will help to improve the VSWR of the source impedance of the sig gen that is used to test the 8473C detector. This will help to minimise the overall

Re: Crystal detector with 10dB attenuator in series - is it for matching purposes?
Saevar, One reason for the attenuator may be to provide a DC path to ground.? Many detectors require this, and some RF sources are AC coupled. --John Gord
