Hi Jeff, Thanks for your time and efforts. The SA1000 is CRT based and lacking a digital readout. I am thinking they are probably sufficiently different and your kindness would be good effort for not.

Oops. ?My bad. ?Just went up to take a quick look and I have the SA1300. ?Looks to have less buttons than the 1000, and has a LCD frequency readout. ?Might be similar inside or not. ?Let me know

When you get a used 8662 or 8663 the power supply is usually dead or?? missing a board or two or all of the boards. Was this high failure rate supply? Did HP redesign this supply in later instruments?
