HP 8672A odd problem.

Synthesizer lock on all frequencies but has about a 10 KHz FM signal on
most frequencies. Using a scope on the output pins of the Phase detector
chip shows the expected pulses but about a ten KHz amplitude modulation on
the pins. Powwersupply looks clean. Chip jhas been replaced. Anyone seen
this before?

Eurotherm 832

I sorry to get off topic but I have tried many forums looking for a
schematic for a Eurotherm 832 power supply.
Eurotherm list this with a 831 on their web site, but the 832 is
different.Eurotherm Europe states this was a USA only model.
Eurotherm USA wont release a copy.
I thought maybe Eurotherm may have not made this and have done
searches on other supplies to find one similar but no luck.
thanks.
Doug

5300A + 5302A check

开云体育

I have a 5300A measuring system readout with a 5302A 50 Mhz counter.? When I first turn the unit on, with the function knob dialed to "check" the counter reads 10.0000 Mhz but after it warms up for a few minutes, the counter begins to read 9.9999999 MHz.? If I plug a cable from the front bnc to the timebase output it reads 10.0000 Mhz.? I have adjusted the crystal frequency to give correct readings from a more accurate 10 Mhz reference.? Is the check function supposed to read 9.999999 or is it supposed to read 10.0000000?? I don't have a manual, so I don't know.
?
Thanks,
?

Re: Equipment rack rail C-clip nuts

Hello Don,
The old age does not lend itself to quick thinking. I just sent you an e
mail offering to send you few panel nuts and did not think that you were
talking about "speed nuts", but then you said 10-32. I do not think there is
such a thing, "speed nuts" are super course thread, for sheet metal grade
screws.

Anyways, where my old age came in, was forgetting about McMaste Carr, my
trusty hardware supplier. Their web address is: .
What I have is G style, McMaster's P/N 90542A343. Look it up in their
catalog and let me know if that is what you are looking for. If you want
more than a few nuts and do not like shipping charges, I will be going to
McMaster within a month and I can pick up those nuts for you and mail them.

Thought I'd ask the group:

I'm looking for a source for the C-clip "speed nuts" used in Agilent/HP
equipment rack rails, such as in the N4043A ( nee 1181B ) cart. The part
is an
Agilent PN 0590-0804 "NUT-SHMET 10-32-THD .5-WD STL" and is a "support
part for
which Agilent does not own the design specifications" (which I read as
available off-the-shelf someplace).

Agilent wants 3.38 each (!) for them, and I suspect you guys who work with
rack mount equipment know an online hardware store off the top of your
head
where one can buy a bag of them for something less.

Thanks in advance,

Don Cramer

Re: Equipment rack rail C-clip nuts

Those guys might have a minimum order. I just remembered that I have few
from a DEC's rack. They are square piece of metal, about 3/16 " thick with
10-32 thread cut and a spring retainer. If just few would do, I can put that
in mail for you.

Miroslav Pokorni
