Re: 8555a indicator/cord replacement or modification
One more thing - depending on the microwave counter used, and it's signal kickout, it may add some spurs to the displayed signal. There's not much isolation on the 1LO port. If anything looks

Re: Spring loaded Old Style Front Panel Buttons
Hi Chuck, Are you saying that you can clean the switches with IPA without taking the keyboard apart or removing it from the instrument? Do you just spray it in along side of the keys? I have an HP

Re: HP 16505a and 16500b/c scsi interface
By source, I mean an online respository such as the HP/Agilent Test Equipment Group Files or similar were I (or others) could access them to use them with a used E2423A that doesn't include the disk.

By "source" do you mean the contents of the floppy or the source code that created it? I had the floppy (but I've misplaced it). However I have the files in a directory on a 16500B hard drive. I don't

Re: BRIGHT Replacement LCD for 8753/8720 VNAs with dim LCD displays
I agree. I have replaced the CFL¡¯s in my 8753E and 8720D, and it was pretty easy. They¡¯re not very expensive on *Bay either. I¡¯m also considering doing an LED conversion next time around. Daun

Re: BRIGHT Replacement LCD for 8753/8720 VNAs with dim LCD displays
If the display is dim, there's a good chance the CFL lamps in the display are at EOL. If a new display is not available, there's not a big deal for a handy man to replace the CFL lamps with

Joe, interesting, the reason I found this problem was that I was implementing a more modern version of AN 286-2: http://www.hpmemoryproject.org/an/pdf/an_286-2.pdf The 61.0 function resets the listen
