Re: 8566B Calibration
AMPTD CAL is one of the trim pots on the front panel. The other is FREQ or FREQ ZERO. I cannot remember exactly. Look through the other Recall x instructions and one will be for the frequency pot.

Re: Crystal detector with 10dB attenuator in series - is it for matching purposes?
The 10dB attenuator is probably recommended as it will help to improve the VSWR of the source impedance of the sig gen that is used to test the 8473C detector. This will help to minimise the overall

Hp Schottky diode HP QSCH 1691 ( or HPQSCH-1691 ?) ... Data Sheet wanted
Can't find any info on this Hp QSCH 1691 ( Schottky ) diode. It does not seem to be mentioned in either of the 1972, 1980, nor 1984 Hp Diode & Transistor Designer's Handbooks. Anyone have a .pdf

8566B Calibration
Hi all, The calibration procedure for this analyzer states that something called "AMPDT CAL" requires adjustment. However, I can find no such button on my particular analyzer. Everything else the

Re: Crystal detector with 10dB attenuator in series - is it for matching purposes?
Saevar, One reason for the attenuator may be to provide a DC path to ground.? Many detectors require this, and some RF sources are AC coupled. --John Gord

Neat trick checking for shorts. As you expected probably, 0.04ohm. I have found one purple/white wire which when removed brings that up to 384 ohm. I'll be out of pocket for a day but will look

Crystal detector with 10dB attenuator in series - is it for matching purposes?
I was reading about the crystal detector HP 8473C and in the performance test section in the documentation, it is recommended to use 10dB isolation attenuator in series with the RF port and adjust the

Bill, So you replaced the pass transistor and Q9 then it popped the 3A fuse F4. And at that point the regulator worked but there must be a short on the -12.6V buss. Please run an Ohm meter check

I wonder whether internet archive simply has TCP 1323 window scaling options disabled or clamped to a low maximum, or something like path mtu discovery broken by blocking ICMP type 3 code 4 packet too
