Re: HP 5360A Counter
I've looked at the manual I have, there were 5 extender boards supplied with the 5360A and another with the 5379A. Those supplied with the 5360A were; * 05360-60055 31 contacts (2x31?) quantity 1 *

Re: HP 8560A spur at 1.3GHz
Do you know why screenshot shows spurious signals in 7GHz-9GHz range, not a harmonic of the YTO? You can set 8560 to zero-span at 1.3GHz to isolated the problematic frequency. Any spurs at N*3.6GHz

Alrighty, now Christmas is done, it's almost time to order the final revision of the PCB's. I have one last thing to figure out (If it even matters at 3GHz?) To keep impedances as close to 50 ohms and

Re: HP 8560A spur at 1.3GHz
Thanks Ozan, As it turns out harmonic distortion isn't good (about 20dB worst case), but it gets much better at LO of 5.2GHz. All filters are in place and all cables are tight. More pics It may be a

Re: 8341A *restoration adventure*
Hello there! After a long while, it's time to update my unit to model 8340A. As you know, I was extremely lucky to purchase an 8341A that actually has all the parts of an 8340A. - By modifying the

Re: HP 8560A spur at 1.3GHz
Perhaps 2nd harmonic of YTO is passing to 2nd converter and mixing with the 3rd harmonic of 2nd LO. At 1.3GHz ?-> 3*3.6GHz-2*5.245GHz=310MHz (IF frequency). Is 4.4GHz low pass filter (FL2) in place?

Re: HP 3582a problems with buttons
Many people. The 3582A uses the common (in HP gear) "Bill West" switches. Some information about them, including common failure modes, can be found here:

HP 8560A spur at 1.3GHz
Thanks for the add to the group. I scored a faulty HP8560 SPA and got it working. I ended up replacing the HP YTO (expensive) with another mfg YTO (cheap) and a modification of the main coil driver
