You (or I, or anyone else) have no idea of where any other peoples' sensitivities may lie, or whether they are rational, or whether would agree with or even approve of them. But they do exist. Sorry you are all so thin skinned. I am sure you applauded the Nazis in WWII when they practiced their form of warfare upon you. I assure you there were plenty of slurs then. The times are the same, the methods different..
And I do not dislike Chinese Americans, or Chinese Germans, and I think it is wrong to attack them. But I do hate Communist China, they are the definition of evil. So be smug in your worldliness, all, but I, for one, have lost 1-1/2 years of my life due to the stinking COVID-19 virus that the Chi-Comms released on (get ready for it...) the whole world.
And I do not buy Chinese, if there is any choice, and there usually is. I would rather spend a few more sheckles on stuff made ANYWHERE else. That goes for Coax adapters, cables etc...
In the mid mid-1990's I wrote a short paper for my friends on how Walmart (and their predatory practices) were destroying the US economy (and, BTW, creating China's industrial revolution, Thanks Joe Biden for voting them into the WTO).
Just to clarify: I am not anti-Chinese, just Anti-Red Chinese. Remember when the Communists were our enemies?... I do. I working in defense during the Cold War.?
?
So if I hurt some feelings, well sorry, you can stuff it. So far 6 positives and 2 negatives.

My personal view is that a lot of move off-shore and other declines are driven by exceutive bounus being based on short term targets like increse profit by? or cut costs by Y without any responsibility for the long the term reputation or survival of the company. This is aided and abetted by the stock market. |

I just dont get it: Why buy quality TE then chintz on the interconnects? There are plenty of used OSN/Weinschel/Narda connectors around, even NOS. You save nothing by using chink crap, only enrich the chi-comms.
Quality connectors, when CLEANED & threads lubed. will last your lifetime, except, of course, when mechanically damaged too much. Even then, I have repaired them. 5/8-24 tap and die set is $14.00 (type N thread), used by gunsmiths.
?
USA made stainless steel microwave adapters, WHEN USED (WORN), are better than cheap gold plated brass chink ones with dubious "teflon", poor thread dimensions, and non-concentric pins.

But Hey, its important to save one dollar cause the social security check is a month away...
Poor economy.? And I hate the Chinese, for their economic and viral warfare against us.
