Re: How to fix broken HP key
Those look like Bill West switches to me.? They are very common in HP gear, particularly of the 70's and 80's vintage.? There was just a thread on here about them just in the last week or so. You

Hi group,
I have a HP5343A frequency counter with a broken "5" key. It's just like a typical key on any HP 80s instrument. Please see attached pictures.
It looks like it's missing a metal piece that

Re: General opinion on 180 series scopes?
I haven't looked at the 175A in about 15 years (besides as its' function as large paper weight).? Is there a better scan of the manual then the one on BAMA?? As I recall, it was very hard to read

Re: General opinion on 180 series scopes?
Dave, let me know if I can help with the 175A power supply; the low-voltage
supplies are all solid state (except for one VR tube) and fairly simple. I
have a working 175A and a parts unit. I¡¯m

Re: Want To buy: HV transformer for HP 1707B scope.
You could also find a 1:1 isolation transformer with a 6.3 volt winding, perhaps.

Re: General opinion on 180 series scopes?
I picked up one of the 180 series and a small pile of plugins many years ago, and while I was very excited at the time, I soon lost interest because everything was flaky, and was poorly engineered

Want To buy: HV transformer for HP 1707B scope.

Re: General opinion on 180 series scopes?
Hi all
Regarding HP 180 scopes if you ever get mains ripple on the display most probably it is a 10 uf at 100 v axial that requires changing suggest you go for 150 volt at 15 uf

Re: General opinion on 180 series scopes?
?? I had a 180 when I worked for -hp-, I don't remember it having a fan. I thought it was a pretty good scope.

Re: Three-volume Book about Hewlett Packard South Queensferry history to be available soon
Hi Dave
Well, I am interested (especially since I spent some time over at Queensferry and knew some of them), and would *really* like to do it, but I just can't justify the large investment required.
