Is the spur exactly 90 HZ? ?That might be a clue.
I would double check the mixer trim pot connections with an ohm meter on low range and also reflow the solder of joints.
You might need another 3580 to find the spur. ? :-(

The KO4BB site is very good. It can take a while for things to post. But they do get there. As I also recall anyone can get to the download section ahead of the release. But as mentioned you need to have a name or something. I have uploaded numbers of eprom images to the site for safer than my HD protection. Others have helped me with eprom images. Its payback. My last comment haven't been following to close. Whats is this program? Regards Paul

HP laser printers all use a Canon print engine that HP wraps its own plastic and personality board around.
So the "consumable" rollers, separation pads, fuser parts can all be sourced easily. There are a number of vendors out on the web that sell the parts....

I’m not in a need of a keyword. I’m in the need of the application itself (exe or the sources) so I can provide an alternative that requires no PC and no special software, just a web browser. I’m not asking you to do anything besides that, if that’s OK.

Hi All,
Over the years I've collected a fair bit of test equipment. I'm lucky enough to have 3 HP sensors and four different HP power meters as well as some good quality attenuators that allow me to measure power to 18GHz and up to 50W. None of it has been calibrated for years yet all four meters and three sensors agree to within 0.1dBm of each other when measuring their internal references or other signal sources up to 10GHz. These results are repeatable in another radio shack with similar equipment. That makes 6 meters and six sensors all behaving in a similar way.? I would say that gives my friend and I a good degree of confidence that the readings we make are valid.
I can't say the same for bird meters or any (insert brand name here) power meters with HF thru UHF capability but as someone else said, these meters are in a different class not to be confused with the HP style meters and sensors.
Of course, my equipment has no calibration traceability but I'm a ham and I don't need it for a hobby. My gear can meet Rob's +/-1dB requirement easily and I'm sure most sensors that are sold as working perform as expected. I've only purchased one bad sensor and it was pretty obvious it was crook?(wavering reading on the internal reference) as soon as I started using it. Money was refunded immediately.
When it comes to cost, I'd argue that hams spend more money on a single radio than the cost of a HP meter with cable and sensor. Anyway, I like my equipment and for those that want to buy similar I'd say go for it.

Please upload the source code project somewhere, or even email it to me personally. I can post it to GitHub for you if you wish, and also set up a GitHub page that will compute the codes in the browser so the whole “application” will be a single html file that you open in a web browser and that’s that. Simple stuff once the algorithm is known. I can literally pull it off this evening (eastern time) since I got time for it. It won’t need any sort of a server to work: anyone can download the html and it’ll be the complete thing, and it will be tiny - a few kilobytes, no kidding.
Web browsers are powerful enough that you could boot an emulated Wine session right in the browser and run the VB5 executable that way, but not much point to it since it’s not like preserving a game or something where the original visuals are important.?

If you're not doing those things... then why do you need the dynamic range, and sensitivity? And, they are not all that accurate anyway... so you have to be able to live with that too.
IMO... to many people buy a cheap HP power meter... and then just have to have a cable and sensor.
But then hundreds of dollars later... what have they got? Unless they can afford several hundreds of dollars more for calibration (every so often)...then they've got a more expensive version of a Bird or Daiwa... with a sensor that is a lot easier to destroy. You are confusing the usual HP power meter, which reads from about -30 dBm to +10 dBm with a Bird or Daiwa, which read from maybe 5 Watts to about a kilowatt, depending on plug-ins or model. Two different animals, completely. I have sent the program to KO4BB.? Not sure what he will do with it, but at least someone else has it in case I get Covid-19 or get caught up in one of our many fires here in Sonoma county.? The fire two weeks ago, which destroyed about 700 structures (the Glass fire), came within 3000 feet of me.?
I also privately sent it to one other person in this group.

This is a real interesting thread. So I thought I’d throw in my two cents
A SA is not a power meter..... ?actually it is and in some respects a better one. ?True you do have the issues of calibration but assuming you are calibrated you should be able to get within a couple of tenths of a dB. Where the SA shines over a power Peter is that you are measuring the power at your frequency of interest not the fundamental and all of its harmonics like a PM or a bird does.
Calibration, ?well I have had to do inspections (why they let me do QA inspections is beyond me) and I have found exactly two labs that could actually put stickers on power heads with a straight face one was HP Roseville (a while back) where they had the 4 or 5 racks of stuff for PMs and Heads. The other was of all places the Pakistani Navy lab in Karachi. They had HPs desktop sets for both PMs and heads. ?Everyone else used a sig gen to verify the heads and none of them did the entire frequency range nor the math to generate the Cf. ? I’m lucky I have the 11683 range calibrator and a Keysight lab stds calibrated 3458A so I can be fairly certain that my power meters are correct, operative word “fairly”.?
Over the last year or so I have had over a dozen 436As up from one of my customers because they “wouldn’t cal” or were BER, they all got sent back working because I actually read the manual and performed the alignment (with the 11683). ?
The bottom line unless you really know your lab and even then that they actually do alignments everything we have is a guess, maybe a good guess, but still just a guess.?

They all have their place ...? a Bird thruline is essential gear on a hilltop UHF or VHF site ... a 435 is perfect on the bench with the internals of a transverter ... horses for courses.
My 432MHz? transmitters have calibrated sampling ports on an SMA with around -45dB of coupling, perfect for attaching to a 435 and a head with a suitable attenuator.
