Re: 5245 counter service manual
-----------------------------------
Dave, The only version of the HP 5245L that I've found on the LOGSA site is called the CP-772A/U (and maybe also the CP-772/U), which appears to be an H96-5245L. On the LOGSA site, they have only the parts-list manual for the unit. There are two other TMs for it that are NOT on line, there. Their TM numbers are listed in the parts-list manual, which is TM 11-6625-1682-24P. The downloadable parts manual, unlike many of the other LOGSA parts-list manuals, DOES have detailed board/component-layout and exploded view diagrams, with lists of part numbers. But for component values, you either have to decipher them from the part numbers or have a copy of the Federal Logistics (Fedlog) database. According the the Fedlog database, the 5245M is called the CP-1049P/U. But I couldn't find any manuals for it, on LOGSA, searching titles for CP-1049 and also searching by its NSN/NIIN numbers for the two 5245M versions listed. Good luck! Hi Dave and all the List,
Is USM-207 the correct designator?I think it is not... When I was trying to repair my 5245M I fount a WEB page with links to the USM-207 manuals and, not, it is not same beast. It could be similar in design but definitely very different externally. Regards, JOSE ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 73 EB5AGV / EC5AAU - JOSE V. Help for 8557A
I posted an album with photos that I hope will make my question
clear. Please view and help me if you can. Any comments about this unit and general assistance with HP documentation would be welcome. I know the data is good in the HP manuals but it's like I have to learn to read all over again. Maybe I've studied too many Tektronix manuals.:) Thanks in advance for any help and comments. HP 8557A Spectrum Analyzer
Good morning Group,
I recently purchased a 8557A that looks to be in good condition but I don't have a display so I haven't been able to check it out. Neither have I been able to find a service manual but I do have a manual for the 8558A which at least is similar. My Question is, there seems to be a missing lead from the compression fitting labled LO OUT located on the top surface about in the center of the unit. Can someone help me to determine where this lead terminates. A photo of the top view of the unit would be great if you could e-mail a copy to me. Also what is the connector at the top left rear from the front view. It looks like some sort of interlock or a contact point from within the cabinet. I have a HP 180d scope frame on the way. Will the 180d have the necessary options required for the basic operation of this unit? Anyone with experience with this unit could be a very big help to me and I would appreciate it very much George Headley Atlanta |

I don't have experience directly with this connector but there are a couple of shielded connectors that use two contact pins. One is called Twinax and the other is used on the R-390 tube type military receiver. The following companies may be of help: Have Fun, Brooke Clarke, N6GCE Date: Thu, 08 Jul 2004 04:32:42 -0000 |
HP 3440A rear connectors
computeruser04
I have just acquired an old HP 3440A nixie tube rack mount DC
voltmeter. Although I have the service manual for the 3440A, the rack mounted version is physically different from the one in the manual in a few ways. For one - there are no inputs on the front panel, just on the rear. There are 2 different BNC type jacks that I have never seen before. The ground is isolated from the chassis so there are actually 2 internal connectors along with the usual outer ground connector. Both jacks have these 2 internal contacts but both jacks are different styles. I've tried to look these up (google images etc) and have no idea what "type" they are so that I can get some kind of adaptor to use a BNC terminated probe or even banana terminated test leads. Thanks BL |

Info on 3852A Data Acquisition Extenders
I'm looking for information on the HP 3852A Data Acquisition / Control Unit extenders.? These are units that are "slave" to a master 3852A.? Specifically, I'm looking for a wiring diagram of the digital cable (is it simply a pin-to-pin connection?), and what are the requirements (model number, options, etc.) for extension unit? Any help would be appreciated.? Many thanks!? Tom Leedy? |
Want To Buy Old HP & Military oscilloscopes
Robert Middleton
开云体育Hello folks.
?
My name is Robert. Please allow me a few minutes of
your time, thank you. Is there anyone in the group who can point me in the
direction of finding one or perhaps a few pieces of?some HP equipment and
the manuals for them too??Perhaps there might be a electronics surplus
store that someone knows about that I could make contact with?
?
Below is the list of what I am looking for, some
are of military origin and others are commercial/Industrial. Cosmetic condition
is not real critical, even if the unit or units have some rust and are missing a
few knobs too is ok. I prefer working units if possible and also the plug in
modules too. I appreciate any leads and help I am able to receive. Thanks for
your time and have a nice day.

Respectfully, Robert
?
p.s. Here is a list of the models I am looking for,
and I am not picky either. Thanks again everyone. Also, I run accross alot of
newer and older HP equipment, probes, and manuals too so drop a line and let me
know what you need and I will do what I can to be of service to you folks by
being able to provide the equipment or putting you in touch with someone who
does?have it.
?
These are all old oscilloscopes, (heavy and
beautiful pieces of engineering) and depending on the price of the unit I am
also willing to pay the shipping cost, thanks folks.

I am enclosing my e-mail address along with my home
