Hi Marco,

I have an 8757A with 8340B as the source and it works perfectly!

Well, I could make a deal for an HP 8340B but I wonder whether I can still use my 8757A with this sweeper.
The available documentation, IMO, is kind of obscure.

Does anyone have experience about?

Thank you ?

It might be worth reaching out to Iban, EB3FRN, as he has my retired K&S 4526 which had the heated stage and manual. He has it setup and running-was considering adapting to deep access.

You could also try contacting Inseto in the UK as I have bought spares from them. Expect commercial pricing!

Subject: [HP-Agilent-Keysight-equipment] k&s 1470 Wire bonding reconstruction

Hi,

A couple of months ago I bought a k&s 1470 wire bonding head to build my own on budget bonding machine for repair the famous HP yig oscillators.

I have finished reconstructing the mechanical parts of the bonding, but to start making the electrical part I need the service manual of the head.

I don't know if this is the correct group, but i hope sameone can help me find the service manual to finish this "big" project.

Best regards,
Massimo

Re: 3562A Help/advice

Not really sure at this point - most numbers seem to be correct, but not all letters are incorrect.? At this point I have not done much other than play with the menus and reseated a few boards.? I don't want to really tear into it if I'm going to wind up sending it back.? I *think* I remember reading at one time about the display units in these and I'm pretty sure that they have their own character generator - so the error could solely in it or in the connections from the main unit.? I'm mostly hoping at this point that someone else as run into this issue before.

Re: 3562A Help/advice

Is there a correspondence between correct and your characters?? For example a bad bit being transferred?

I know these have a digital display that is shared among other units but I have no experience with them.? I bought the unit for a decent price with a free return policy so I'm not really at risk with it - but I would very much like to keep it if repairing it is feasible. That being the case, I would very much appreciate any help or pointers as to whether or not repair is a worthwhile thing and, if so,? pointers as where to start looking.

Thank you all!

Re: k&s 1470 Wire bonding reconstruction

Hello,

I was also interested in getting a K&S wire bonding machine for the same
purpose to fix the HP YIGs but the ones that I found were missing parts.

I was looking for any manuals that showed the parts list so I can try to
identify exactly the missing parts but I found it impossible to find any
K&S manuals.

I am interested if anyone has user manuals and especially service
manuals for the 412x and 452x series of wire bonding machines from K&S.

One of the parts that the ones I found was missing was the heated
working table and I found exactly zero on eBay.

Let us know how is your project developing. I am more than interested in
updates.

Regards,
Razvan

No problem, Massimo, I am happy to help out.? I did get a response from one of my contacts to reach out to another person who may be able to find you a service manual.? I need to look up that person;
?probably won't have time until tomorrow evening.? ? Jim

Hi Don, thank you for your reply. I'm not very versed at all in the 8566B; I recently picked this unit up locally for a very good price, but was not able to test the 2-22 GHz section until I got it home. So I'm coming into this was no experience on the 8566. I appreciate your suggestions and will give them a try. 6 GHz is the highest source I have to test with at the moment.?

I'll be sure to post my findings, though it might be a day or two until I can get to it. I also have a thread on the EEV blog that includes everything I've done up until this point.

These are from the power supply board of a 3325. Per OSM they are p/n 03325-66901, 03325-66902, 03325-66903 (left to right), described as "XSTR ASSEMBLY". The manufacturer is listed as HP. I have not found the part numbers in any cross-reference lists and I have been unable to identify the parts by their markings. Any help on identifying the parts and/or replacements is greatly appreciated.
