Re: I found a source of good used Zebra Strips.
Instead of soldering.
As LCD's take next to no "power" to operate, how about using small
amounts of conductive epoxy to glue a suitable ribbon cable of the right
pitch, to the LCD?? In cases where

Is conductive epoxy a possibility ?

Re: E4406 Synthetizer trouble
Thank you all that helped. I have one idea to put one? 1N4148, only for curiosity and test, because I haven't this part and look what happened in attached... I generate one signal of 1GHz at

Re: E4406 Synthetizer trouble
According to the parts list just posted, my hunch was correct: HSMP-389x/489x series pin switching diodes.
The datasheet lists the various G# codes and associated configurations, and their RF circuit

Re: E4406 Synthetizer trouble
Thank you all. I compaired with other boards I have here and it is damaged, I am sure. I will look for it to replace.
Thank you all. And the step of frequencies show this diode too.

Re: E4406 Synthetizer trouble
Better datasheet link: https://media.digikey.com/pdf/Data%20Sheets/Avago%20PDFs/HSMP-389x-489x.pdf
It’s an Avago part, they spun off from HP (if I recall correctly, don’t quote me on it).

I think the third component also ia a schotty diode--have the schematic for
this--wil look for it

Re: E4406 Synthetizer trouble
Delta usually means "ESD sensitive", but I've only seen that on larger
packages.

Re: E4406 Synthetizer trouble
Looked further into it; the delta seems to be a manufacturer marking.
The device marking is G2. In that case, a good bet would be a double pin switching diode of the made by HP, type HSMP-3892, in

Re: E4406 Synthetizer trouble
This is a diode(or perhaps two diodes), not a transistor. Probably a basic silicon switching or Schottky diode. If you think it’s bad, look at other ones and probe out the pin out with a multimeter

E4406 Synthetizer trouble
Dear frienda, I am Marcelo from Brazil? and I have one trouble with my E4406. When I put 940MHz the spectrum don't show more, it lost the signal, and in other higher frequencies too. I already found

Re: HP App Note #315 Practical Applications of the HP 4145B Semiconductor Parameter Analyzer
I took a look at the attached document. To my surprise I have actually
scene the test fixture for sale at the old MIT flea. Wasn't sure what the
test fixture went to but thought it might be useful.

Re: I found a source of good used Zebra Strips.
Sounds like my Micronta 22-191 DMM uses the same tape technology to connect its display. I think the traces are vapor-deposited low-temp solder, and the tape was fused to the pads with BRIEF
