My questions are:-

?

1/ Is there a backup battery that I need to replace so that calibration information is retained and it does not have to keep doing a recalibration at power up?

There is a 3-cell NiCad battery soldered in to the CPU board, see e.g. </g/HP-Agilent-Keysight-equipment/message/92869>, where I found someone had soldered in a primary Lithium cell for the NiCad.?
?

2/ Is there a way to restore the memory information?

I don't think that should be necessary. This NiCad battery is only supposed to retain the memory contents for 2 weeks or so if the generator is not plugged in.?I believe it therefore only stores calibration information that can be restored with a self-cal.
?

3/ How do I correct or reset the 10MHz reference to where it should be?

This I don't know, but I think it'll be unrelated to the battery issue.?
