Hi All,
On my recently acquired HP-141T,?8554B and 8552B plugins, I noticed that the trace has a sort of vertical thickness to it, as though someone is drawing the traces using a calligraphy pin oriented vertically. Horizontally, the trace is very sharp. Adjusting the focus makes it possible to bring the "dot" to a symmetric and round but fuzzier shape. I am using the "manual sweep" mode to judge the shape of the dot. The total height of the dot, vertically, is probably 4 or 5 mm.?
I then connected a tek 475 scope to the Vertical and Scan outputs. With the scope in XY mode, the trace is super crisp and does not have a vertical elongation to it. I think this test exonerates the plugins from causing the issue, but leaves the display section in question.
Thanks for any insights you may have,?
