Hi Adri,
In the 8594E, I can check the power supply voltages on the A16 boards, there
is 4 test points for 5v, +12v, +15v and -15v. May be it is the same with
your SA?

thanks Scott and thanks Hermann for your advice
yes I got the service manual and I'm trying to collect the info for the
troubleshooting
Searching the Web I found a very limited number of faulty YTO and
considering that it was mounted on the whole 858xfamily I was expecting much
more occurrences (there must be a huge number of them out there)
Nevertheless I agree it is one of the possible culprits and I'm thinking
about how to check its output as my only other S.A. goes only to 1.8Ghz
(this YTO , part nr5086-7903, starts from 3.07GHz)
Anyway I'm also hoping for a hint about a way to check the power supply
voltages without pulling it out
thanks
