Maybe. You would have to shop carefully and get the parts one at a time.
A full 8505A has 4 boxes. You MUST have two, the RF Section and the
Display. The Storage Normalizer and S Parameter are options. If you
don't have the S Parameter, you may need a Reflection-Transmission Test
Set. It depends somewhat on your intended use. The 8505A goes to 1.8
GHz. If you are going to probe IFs, the 8407 might be a better choice.
IMO, the 8413 meter is near useless except for CW measurements.
The expensive parts are often the special cables required to
interconnect the boxes. They've been discussed on-list fairly recently.
