I want to make some measurements in WR90 waveguide on a VNA. But since
it for amateur use (3 cm band) I can't justify buying an HP/Agilent
X11644A calibration kit - even a used one.
However, I believe I can make my own cal kit, good enough for this,
from a load, short and an offset short, or more more easily from a
load, short and a spacer+sjhort.
I bought an HP load from eBay for $25, so that bit is solved, but I
still need to make the short and offset short.
I calculated a spacer of 9.5 mm would give me the ideal quarter wave
(90 degree) delay at 10.25 GHz (centre of amateur band), but a couple
of mm either side of that would be fine.
Does anyone have anything suitable. I just want the standard flanges.
