Hello Morris!
In the Synthesizer Driver,
there is a step recovery comb generator which was driven by the 1MHz
Signal. From those comb generator the ouput was filtered through a
lot of filtersbanks to filter out the many frequencies that are
available at the outputconectoRS at the rear.
I expect that something around the SRD was wrong, the SRD is located
(when i rememer right) in an oven, too so maybe that oven is defective.
But maybe the normal oven for the xtal has a little overshoot, too or
is defective.
I have the Manuals for those both units at our Ham-Radio clubstation.
I have to look there in the next days.
