Hi.
It's worth checking the DC power rails for the GPIB logic
section.? It's possibly isolated from all the "measurement"
analogue/digital stuff.
My old 3438A had "a lot" of 50Hz ripple on the GPIB digital 5V,
that was resetting the logic/cpu every 20ms!
One very bad cap and an open cct rectifier diode replaced, and
that all works fine now.
I just need to replace the front/rear input select switch, as
that has frozen in the "rear input" position.?? But that's not too
much of an inconvenience, yet.
