Re: HP Agilent 8753ES VNA repair [Help]

Hi Yves,
?
Thank you for the details. I have some more questions.
?
"For high band VCO must be 39.84Mz and VCO at 39.996MHz for lowband <16MHz." --> ?TP20 VCO. This part seems to work in my board.?

"Divider: 4kHz for low frequency and 160kHz for high frequency." --> TP6 This part do no seems to work on my board. Is my divider bad here ?

?

"VCXO 40 MHz, your SPAN of Spectrum is to wide, use narrow span to see more detail, VCXO but is working." --> OK I will make a more precise measurement?

?

"Test VCXO with input generator 10 MHz with a step of 100Hz…measure at TP VCXO, see picture below test VCXO." --> Do you want me to put an external generator on the external BNC connector and measure the voltage on TP VCXO TUNE ?

?

"Divider to 160kHZ works but bad frequency." --> TP6. I don't understand why you said it is working. If my 40 MHz is OK why do I have a 909 KHz output instead of 160 KHz output ??

?

"For CW 10MHZ, LO2 TP14 will be 10.4MHz…for low frequency it’s OK." --> TP14 this part do no seems to work on my board.
- I have 10.4 MHz for 100 MHZ/SPAN 0 parameter on the VNA.

- I have 10.720 MHz for 10 MHZ/SPAN 0 parameter on the VNA.

?

"No DC correction for PLL of VCO…defective phase comparator, integrator or mixer…and 21V is very high voltage."

Yes this part seems to be completely off. I just measure it again this morning.

- A flat -1.5V on VCO TUNE TP

- A flat +21V on VCXO TUNE TP
