My aged, but otherwise working SG (100kHz to 1000 MHz) has a long-standing glitch in the RF output. settings? While not a deal-breaker in normal useage, I'd like to fix if possible.?
With 1dB steps selected, the RF output often, but not always, drops to zero only when switched between 5dB & 6dB. All other settings: unit dB's, 10 dB's and 0.1dB's seem OK.??
The Ops & Service guide block diagram for the -A model shows the A7 attenuator module switches only in 10dB steps. I've ben unable to determine which module/s the other attenuator steps are made.?
Would appreciate ideas before removing covers and/or if any other manuals are available.
