I have a couple of these, each had power supply failures.? Nice signal generators!? The power supplies were bought by HP thus no diagrams.
They are somewhat standard switching supplies and have a small fuse on them.? Kind of a PITA to get to but not especially difficult to repair.? Replace all the electrolytic capacitors as they go high ESR and/or leak.? If you are opening the signal generator up, do this.
The failure in your case might be more than the fuse, it could be the input bridge rectifier or even the switch transistor but you don't need a diagram to figure that out.
Do NOT buy replacement semiconductors from China or Hong Kong as they are almost certainly counterfeit and either won't work at all or will fail quickly.

Had a power cut for several hours, after which my 8643A will not power-up. It has not been bothered by short power cuts in the past. Since it is such a weight-lifting exercise to remove it from the rack is there anything I should check first. My Artek CLIP does not seem to have a circuit for the power supply. Thanks, Alwyn
