Gianni, I have a printed catalog from 1997 and it has the 54XXX prices on page 99.
?
I also have a printed 1994 catalog. Prices are on page 145:

54522A? $13500
54540A? $15000
54542A? $21000
?
Catalogs were prepared a year in advance. In the old days, HP policy in general was not to pre-announce unless the product release was imminent. That's why the 54540A is not in the 1993 catalog. That catalog would have been prepared some time in 1992.
