HP 8360 Series - Upgrade and Conversion Questions

Hello,

I saw the other thread related to repairing of the 8360 series and I
have some questions related to upgrades and conversion from 836x1B to
836x0B.

836x1B were made for 8510C which is fine but I would like to use it
outside of the 8510C and I want to upgrade the front panel. I know I can
use the software emulation for the panel but I would like to get the
physical one.

Does anyone know if the procedure is plug-n-play? Remove the 836x1B
blank panel and drop in the one from a 836x0B? Are all connectors in
place to do this?

Can I also use a front panel from the A version in the B version?
The only issue I see is that maybe I cannot find the exact match and the
label on the front panel will not be for the exact model for example if
I have 83631B and I cannot get the front panel from a 83630B it will
look strange. I don't mind as long as everything else works fine.

Another upgrade would be to extend the lower frequency range. 836x1B
starts at 45MHz and I would like to get it down to 10MHz same as 836x0B.
Is this doable? Firmware change/DIP switches change? Or boards swap?

836x1B models already have 1Hz resolution from factory which for 836x0B
is option 008. But what about adding the other options like:
Option 001 - step attenuator
Option 002 - internal modulation generator
Option 006 - fast pulse modulation

Can I add these to 836x1B ?

Thanks,
Razvan
