I somehow doubt our system of coarseness is the same as yours, Chuck. 1500 grit paper is extremely mild. In fact it's used in car refinishing to buff up clear coat (varnish). So you can think of it as a basically just a polishing compound grade. And as I said, it was just a few light strokes to each contact area. I don't think I'll have any further issues with that and it's the o-rings I believe that will be next to fail. Anyway, I've reassembled it all now and will attempt the manual calibration procedure in a couple of hours' time. Stay tuned!
