The EMC version of the E440xB has monochrome as standard, with an option for color
The "normal" versions has color as standard The colors are gone due to defective backlight? Replace it with two LED strips and a driver, then the colors will be back?(have repaired a few now)
Between the backlight and the screen, there is a color filter, which also turns "yellow orange" If you remove it with new LED strips, the screen will be a blue tone Filters are available on e b a y - needs to be cut to size

Hi, ? Out of curiosity, does anyone know if the E440xB series has an option for a monochrome display. ? I have seen several photos where you see an amber-colored monochrome screen. ? I thought it was perhaps simply the monochrome screen mode which was activated in the SYSTEM, MORE, COLOR PALETTE, MONOCHROME menu...but in my case, the color is green in this mode and not amber (yellow -orange) as in the picture. ? Yves ?
