I had two working frequency counters HP5328A:
- one with the 500 MHz C channel and a digital voltmeter (the one with auto DCV range, a filter switch, and two push buttons to read A and B levels), a basic crystal oscillator, serial number 1620A01301 (thus from 1976, I think).
- one with only channels A and B and a simpler digital voltmeter (one switch to select from ¡°DVM¡±, ¡°read A¡± or ¡°read B¡±), and the stable crystal oscillator 10544A serial number 2004A13960 (1980, I think).
?
The first one (with the C channel) stopped working when I moved with my family. I started investigating and have already found two problems (a faulty -15V regulator, and a 15uF 20V capacitor in short circuit).
?
Even though I intend to fix the one with the C channel, I would like to know if I could transfer:
- the C channel card
- the fancy DVM card
to the working unit 2004A13960?
?
The purpose would be to have at least one fully working unit while I am fixing the other.
?
Note: I have also been given a non-working HP5328A (refurbished military model TS-3662/U), serial number 1844A09539, with a C channel. Would this C channel be compatible with my 2004A13960 unit?
?
