If you're coming to SW Ohio, another great (and not widely known) place
is Carillon Historic Park in Dayton.? It's impressive for any
medium-city museum, but particularly for geeks.

It has the archives from NCR (about 3 million items) and the local power
company both going back to the 1890s.? And there's lots of stuff on
Charles Kettering (of electric starter fame), the Mound atomic facility
(where A/H bomb initiators were made), and of course the Wright
Brothers, including the 1905 Flyer III that was restored by Orville.
All that gives the place a strong focus on tech history, particularly in
the early part of the 20th century.
