I¡¯m traveling at the moment so I don¡¯t have references in hand ?but yes, you need to modify the firmware so the attenuator will be recognized. There is a procedure in the service manual. There should be a piece of paper in a small cage in the left rear side of the instrument and it will show the address that needs to be changed. You can do that with front panel commands and store the changes.?
