I'd be tempted to use a moderately sized iron and suck the solder
off the terminal post.? Wire ends can be found a bit more easily
and can possibly be unwound as needed.? If you're removing a part
(not to be reattached), then I'd suggest the above, cut off the
part wire a bit out from the post, and then either unwind cold or
unwind with a bit of heat.
