Don is correct.
You only need to cover the frequency range Don mentions - This is because that is the range the YIG covers directly. Anything past that is a HARMONIC of the YIG. The YIG is scanned through it's frequency range, the SYTF generates the appropriate harmonics.

Thanks for that info. It took a while to fully take it in. However, I have to say at first sight it appears to me this doesn't really take me any further than I already am. Unless I've missed something (it has been known) then the only difference between what you're advising and what I've already done is that I've done the same check manually by rotating the main knob on the front panel to sweep through an even greater frequency range than you're suggesting - and more slowly in fact. And throughout the entire frequency range, the YTO Unlock error persisted.
