My instrument came from HP with OPT6 so I have this hardware, but this is good information nonetheless. ?
FYI - I checked all the Vcc RAILS around the EEPROM they are not low, nor is their evidence of out of tolerance ripple on them.?

unlike the older 8753A/B/C the D and up units did not use a doubler but rather switched out the YIG oscillator signal for frequencies above 3GHz so there is second signal path in the die cast box on the source module that is not populated on the 3GHz source?
