Re: A bit OT: simulators for children

My exposure was similar. I received a Heathkit EK-3 educational kit when I was 9, and one of those multi-project kits a year of so later. I decided then that I was going to be an EE then.

Later, living in Florida during the 60s when the space program started that desire was reinforced greatly.

My first exposure to electronics, at age 7, was one of those kits
received as an xmas gift from my mother. It was the 65-in-1 version.
From that point, I knew beyond all doubt what I'd be doing for the rest
of my life.

Sort of like a virtual Radio Shack 101 kit? That was one of the best
gifts I ever received.

Hi Group: thought I'd start here w/this topic...

I have a couple of grandsons that are into 'Mine Craft'.
Apparently (I have never 'played' it) you can create "machines" (systems?)
that are like logic gate simulations. They love it. Maybe turns on a "light"
if you enter the correct values??? Hmm.

Q: Is there a simple simulator for test equipment suitable for youngsters?

Like a "Lab View For Kids" or something from HP/Agilent/Keysight/???

Thanks!
