I took a quick look last night and, yes, the DCV lead is a shielded cable on mine as well.
As for the OP, I suppose if banana jacks are employed, then one could also make the DCV lead with, perhaps, a BNC on one end and use one of those Pomona (or equivalent) banana to BNC adapters (provided the spacing is compatible).
